    communications agency, kern county

press, internal comms, messaging, and the statement you hope you never need. written in your voice, out the door the same week.

    one voice, not six guesses

most organizations do not have a communications problem on purpose. they have a director writing the press note, a front desk person writing the facebook post, and a board member writing the newsletter, all describing the same thing three different ways.

i take that off your plate. one messaging spine, one calendar, one writer who knows how you talk. from tehachapi to bakersfield to the antelope valley, in the room when it matters.

    what is included

    press + media relations

releases, media lists, pitch notes, and follow up. written so a reporter can lift a quote straight out of it.

    messaging + key points

one page that says what your organization is, what it does, and how to say it out loud. everyone stops improvising.

    internal comms

staff memos, onboarding notes, policy updates, and newsletters your team will actually open.

    crisis + rapid response

holding statements, escalation language, and a plan for the bad week. drafted before you need it.

    public meeting + council material

slide decks, handouts, agendas, and plain english summaries for boards, councils, and community meetings.

    newsletters + email

monthly sends with actual writing, clean templates, and numbers you can report on.

    who this is for

    cities, counties, districts

public agencies that need consistent, compliant communication without adding a position to the budget. see the gov page for procurement codes.

    small business + trades

owners who are the spokesperson by default and want to stop writing everything at 11pm.

    nonprofits + community orgs

grant language, donor updates, and community outreach that sounds like people, not a board packet.

    questions i get

what does a communications agency actually do?

i handle the words your organization puts into the world. press releases and media relations, internal memos and newsletters, messaging guides, crisis statements, public meeting material, and the day to day writing that keeps everyone saying the same thing. the goal is one clear voice instead of six people guessing.

is there a communications agency in kern county?

yes. the studio is in tehachapi and i work across kern county, including bakersfield, mojave, california city, and tehachapi valley, plus the antelope valley and los angeles. local means i can be in the room for the meeting, not just on a call.

how is this different from hiring a communications manager?

a full time communications manager in california is a significant salary with taxes and benefits. my retainers start well under that and include writing, design, and production, so you are not also buying a designer and a camera. if you need a person in seats, see the hire page.

do you work with public agencies and government?

i do. veteran owned, registered on sam.gov and cal eprocure, and set up for city, county, state, and federal work. the government page has my codes and capability statement.

how fast can you turn around a statement?

same day for holding statements and short press notes when you are on retainer. new clients usually get a first draft within 48 hours.

    what does it cost?

project work and retainers are custom quoted based on scope, volume, media relations, and how much internal comms you want covered.
